Naran Kaghan Tour Packages

Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Babusar Top, Lulusar and Siri Paye — alpine Kaghan Valley.

Quick answer

How many days do I need for Naran and Kaghan, and when is it open?

Naran and Kaghan work well as a 3–5 day trip from Islamabad or Lahore, covering Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Lulusar Lake, Babusar Top and the Siri Paye meadows. The valley is normally accessible from May to early October; Babusar Top and Saif-ul-Malook stay snowbound outside that window.

  • Closest proper mountain destination to Islamabad — good for a short first trip.
  • Lake Saif-ul-Malook needs a 4x4 jeep on the final stretch from Naran.
  • Babusar Top connects Kaghan to Gilgit-Baltistan, but only in summer.

Our Naran Kaghan tour packages take you through the most beloved alpine valley in Pakistan — the trout streams of Kaghan, the glacial Lake Saif-ul-Malook, the high Babusar Top, and the rolling meadows of Siri Paye. Easy to reach from Islamabad and Lahore, it is the perfect short mountain escape for families and first-time travellers.

What a Naran Kaghan package covers

A typical trip runs 4 to 5 days and combines Naran town with a jeep excursion to Lake Saif-ul-Malook, a drive up to Babusar Top, and the meadows of Siri Paye above Shogran. Longer itineraries add Lulusar Lake and a crossing toward the Gilgit Baltistan side via Babusar Pass.

Best time to visit Naran Kaghan

The valley is open from roughly June to September, once the snow clears the Babusar road. July and August are the greenest and busiest; early June and September are quieter with crisp weather. The high road over Babusar Top is weather-dependent, so we always keep a flexible plan.

How much does a Naran Kaghan tour cost?

By-road Naran Kaghan packages start from around PKR 156,000 for a family of five on a 4-day Naran and Babusar trip — about PKR 31,200 each. A relaxed 5-day family escape with better hotels and a fuller itinerary costs more, and longer trips that combine Naran with Hunza and Skardu run higher still. Your final price depends on group size, season, hotel tier and pick-up city.

What's included in the price

Packages include hotels on the stated basis, private transport from your pick-up city, the local jeep transfer to Lake Saif-ul-Malook, fuel and tolls, and a guide for the sightseeing in your itinerary. Personal expenses, the Saif-ul-Malook jeep tickets where not stated, and any extra meals are usually additional — we send a clear inclusions list with every quote.

What's included

  • Private transport with a trained mountain driver (Coaster/van for larger groups)
  • Handpicked hotels — Standard, Executive, Luxury or Premium on request
  • Daily breakfast
  • Fuel, toll taxes & driver allowance
  • Expert local guide & 24/7 on-trip support

Not included

  • Lunch & dinner
  • Personal expenses (shopping, tips, etc.)
  • Extra activities (boating, jet ski, chairlifts)
  • Travel insurance & air tickets (unless a by-air package)
BUILT AROUND YOU

Most Naran Kaghan trips are fully customised

We rarely sell a fixed, off-the-shelf tour. Instead we build each itinerary around your dates, group size, pace and budget — and confirm hotels based on live availability for your travel window. Your total package cost comes down to just two choices:

1 · Your vehicle

A private 4×4 with a trained mountain driver, sized to your group. For a smooth, comfortable mountain journey we usually recommend the Toyota Prado TZ, though the full range — from sedans to Land Cruisers, Grand Cabins and Coasters — is available depending on your group size.

2 · Your hotel standard

Choose from four tiers — Standard, Executive, Luxury and Premium. Same route, elevated comfort at each step. Premium and 5★ stays such as Shangrila, Broqand other resorts deliver the best locations and views; these raise the total but are worth it for a special trip.
