Ayubia tour — pine forest national park and chairlift in the Galiyat

Ayubia Tour

Galiyat's national park — chairlift, the Pipeline forest walk and cool pine air near Murree.

Published June 18, 2026 Pakistan Travellers Team 5 min read

Ayubia is the heart of the Galiyat — a small hill resort and national park of dense pine forest between Murree and Nathia Gali, famous for its chairlift, forest trails and cool, fresh air. The Ayubia National Park protects leopards, monkeys and rich birdlife, and the gentle Pipeline Track to Dunga Gali is one of the most loved walks in Pakistan. Our tours combine Ayubia with Nathia Gali and Murree for a full Galiyat trip.

Things to do in Ayubia

The chairlift is Ayubia's signature — a ride over the pine forest to a ridge with valley views. From here the famous Pipeline Track walks gently through the trees to Dunga Gali, and the Mushkpuri Top trek climbs higher for panoramas. The national park, picnic spots and forest air make it a favourite family stop.

How to get to Ayubia

Ayubia is about 70–80 km and roughly 2–2.5 hours from Islamabad, via Murree. It sits right between Murree and Nathia Gali, so it is easy to combine all three. Our packages include comfortable transport with an experienced driver for the mountain road.

Best time to visit

Summer (May–September) is ideal — cool, green and perfect for the chairlift and forest walks when the plains are hot. Winter brings snow and a quiet, white forest, though some trails close. Spring and autumn are peaceful and beautiful.

Tour packages

Ayubia is usually part of a 2–3 day Galiyat tour with Nathia Gali and Murree. We arrange forest-side hotels, transport and a guide for the Pipeline or Mushkpuri walks. Share your dates and group for an all-in quote.

  • Expert local guide & 24/7 on-trip support

Not included

  • Lunch & dinner

  • Extra activities (boating, jet ski, chairlifts)
  • Travel insurance & air tickets (unless a by-air package)
BUILT AROUND YOU

Most Ayubia trips are fully customised

We rarely sell a fixed, off-the-shelf tour. Instead we build each itinerary around your dates, group size, pace and budget — and confirm hotels based on live availability for your travel window. Your total package cost comes down to just two choices:

1 · Your vehicle

A private 4×4 with a trained mountain driver, sized to your group. For a smooth, comfortable mountain journey we usually recommend the Toyota Prado TZ, though the full range — from sedans to Land Cruisers, Grand Cabins and Coasters — is available depending on your group size.

2 · Your hotel standard

Choose from four tiers — Standard, Executive, Luxury and Premium. Same route, elevated comfort at each step. Premium and 5★ stays such as Shangrila, Broqand other resorts deliver the best locations and views; these raise the total but are worth it for a special trip.
