Patriata, known as New Murree, is the highest and greenest resort in the Murree hills — famous for its two-stage chairlift and cable car that climb through pine forest to a ridge-top at around 2,300 m with sweeping views. Cooler and less crowded than the Mall, it is a favourite family day out and an easy add-on to any Murree trip. Our tours handle the transport, tickets and a smooth plan.
About Patriata (New Murree)
Patriata's signature is its ride: a chairlift to a mid-station, then a cable car to the top ridge, gliding over dense pine forest with valley views the whole way. The top has viewpoints, food stalls and forest walks. Being higher than central Murree, it is cooler and greener, and in winter it catches good snow.
How to get to Patriata
Patriata is about 15 km beyond Murree, roughly 2 hours from Islamabad in total via the Murree Expressway. It pairs naturally with a Murree or Galiyat trip. Our packages include comfortable transport, so you skip the weekend traffic and parking hassle.
Best time to visit
Summer (May–September) is ideal — cool, green and perfect for the chairlift and cable car, when the plains are hot. Winter brings snow and a magical white ridge, though the ride may pause in bad weather. Spring and autumn are quiet and pleasant.
