Azad Kashmir & Neelum Valley Tour Packages
Neelum Valley, Arang Kel, Ratti Gali Lake and Rawalakot — lush rivers and alpine lakes.
How do I plan a Neelum Valley trip, and how many days does it need?
Neelum Valley is a 4–6 day trip from Islamabad, following the Neelum River through Keran and Sharda to Arang Kel, Ratti Gali Lake and Rawalakot. Pakistan Travellers runs it as a private trip; Arang Kel needs a chairlift and short trek, and Ratti Gali requires a 4x4 jeep from Dowarian.
- Best from May to September; Ratti Gali Lake is snowbound outside summer.
- Foreign nationals need permission for parts of Neelum — check before booking.
- Lush and green rather than high-altitude — popular for honeymoons and families.
Our Azad Kashmir and Neelum Valley tour packages follow the emerald Neelum River through some of Pakistan's greenest scenery — the riverside villages of Keran and Sharda, the hilltop meadow of Arang Kel, the alpine Ratti Gali Lake, and the hill station of Rawalakot. It is a favourite for honeymoons and families thanks to the lush valleys and easy access from Islamabad and Lahore.
What a Kashmir / Neelum package covers
A typical 4 to 6 day trip runs up the Neelum Valley from Muzaffarabad through Keran and Sharda, with the highlight excursions to Arang Kel (chairlift and short trek) and the high-altitude Ratti Gali Lake by jeep. Trips can also include Rawalakot, Banjosa Lake and Toli Pir on the southern Kashmir loop.
Best time to visit Azad Kashmir
The valleys are green and pleasant from April to October. Summer (June to August) is the peak season with the lushest scenery; Ratti Gali Lake is best reached from July to September once the jeep track clears. Spring and autumn are quieter and beautifully mild.
How much does a Kashmir / Neelum tour cost?
By-road Neelum Valley packages start from around PKR 161,500 for a couple on a 5-day trip — about PKR 80,750 each — and a family of five on the same route pays less per head. Trips that add Ratti Gali Lake or the Rawalakot loop run a little higher. Price depends on group size, season, hotel tier and pick-up city.

Most Azad Kashmir trips are fully customised
We rarely sell a fixed, off-the-shelf tour. Instead we build each itinerary around your dates, group size, pace and budget — and confirm hotels based on live availability for your travel window. Your total package cost comes down to just two choices:
A private 4×4 with a trained mountain driver, sized to your group. For a smooth, comfortable mountain journey we usually recommend the Toyota Prado TZ, though the full range — from sedans to Land Cruisers, Grand Cabins and Coasters — is available depending on your group size.
Choose from four tiers — Standard, Executive, Luxury and Premium. Same route, elevated comfort at each step. Premium and 5★ stays such as Shangrila, Broqand other resorts deliver the best locations and views; these raise the total but are worth it for a special trip.
