Shogran & Siri Paye Tour
Lush alpine meadows above Kaghan — Shogran's pine plateau and the jeep track to Siri Paye.
Shogran and Siri Paye are the green heart of the Kaghan Valley — a pine-covered plateau and a set of high alpine meadows that rank among the most beautiful, and most photographed, places in Pakistan. Shogran is an easy drive up from Kiwai; from there a thrilling 4x4 jeep track climbs to the Siri and Paye meadows, where grassy hills roll away beneath Makra Peak and small ponds mirror the sky. Our tours handle the transport, the jeep transfer and comfortable stays so you get the meadows without the hassle.
Shogran and Siri Paye — what to expect
Shogran sits at about 2,360 m, a green plateau of pine forest and meadow with wide Kaghan Valley views — comfortable to reach by car. From Shogran, a rough and adventurous 4x4 jeep track climbs to Siri Paye at around 3,000 m: 'Siri' is a small alpine lake and 'Paye' the surrounding meadows, framed by Makra Peak. On a clear summer day it is one of the most stunning landscapes in the country.
The Siri Paye jeep track
You cannot drive a normal car to Siri Paye — the track from Shogran is steep, rough and only for local 4x4 jeeps with experienced drivers. It is part of the adventure: about 45–60 minutes each way through forest and open meadow. Our tours include the jeep transfer with a trusted driver, so you enjoy the ride safely and reach the meadows without arranging it yourself at the top.
How to get to Shogran
Shogran is in the Kaghan Valley, reached via Balakot and Kiwai. It is roughly 5–6 hours from Islamabad and about 8–9 hours from Lahore. From Kiwai a short but steep road climbs to Shogran. Our packages include private transport for the main journey and the local jeep for Siri Paye.
Best time to visit Shogran and Siri Paye
Summer (May–September) is the season. The Siri Paye meadows are greenest and the jeep track is open and dry from roughly June to September; earlier or later, snow can block the top. Shogran itself is pleasant across the summer, and even in light snow shoulder-season, but the Siri Paye jeep ride is a summer experience.
Shogran Siri Paye tour packages and cost
Most visitors do Shogran and Siri Paye as part of a 3–5 day Kaghan trip, often combined with Naran, Saif-ul-Malook and Babusar Top. Costs depend on group size, hotels and season — the jeep transfer to Siri Paye is a fixed local rate we include. Tell us your dates and group and we send a clear all-in quote from Islamabad or Lahore.

Most Shogran & Siri Paye trips are fully customised
We rarely sell a fixed, off-the-shelf tour. Instead we build each itinerary around your dates, group size, pace and budget — and confirm hotels based on live availability for your travel window. Your total package cost comes down to just two choices:
A private 4×4 with a trained mountain driver, sized to your group. For a smooth, comfortable mountain journey we usually recommend the Toyota Prado TZ, though the full range — from sedans to Land Cruisers, Grand Cabins and Coasters — is available depending on your group size.
Choose from four tiers — Standard, Executive, Luxury and Premium. Same route, elevated comfort at each step. Premium and 5★ stays such as Shangrila, Broqand other resorts deliver the best locations and views; these raise the total but are worth it for a special trip.
