Gorakh Hill Station is Sindh's own mountain escape — a high plateau at around 1,700 m in the Kirthar range near Dadu, where the air turns cool in summer and, remarkably, snow sometimes falls in winter. A world away from the coastal heat, Gorakh offers big-sky sunsets, cool nights and a growing resort with cabins and camping. Our tours handle the long desert-and-mountain drive from Karachi or Hyderabad and the stay.
About Gorakh Hill Station
Perched around 1,700 m in the Kirthar mountains on the Sindh–Balochistan border, Gorakh is famous as the only place in Sindh that regularly turns cool — and occasionally white with snow. The plateau has sweeping views, dramatic sunrises and sunsets, and a developing tourist resort with cabins, a chairlift project and camping spots.
How to get there
Gorakh is reached via Dadu and Wadh, roughly 6–7 hours from Karachi and a bit less from Hyderabad, with the final stretch a rough mountain track needing a capable 4x4. Our packages include suitable transport and an experienced driver for the climb.
Best time to visit
Winter (November–February) is the most popular season — cool days, cold nights and the chance of snow, a rarity for Sindh. Summer evenings are still far cooler than the plains. We plan trips around the season and the mountain track conditions.
