Malam Jabba Tour

Pakistan's premier ski resort in Swat — chairlift, zipline and green summer slopes.

Published June 18, 2026 Pakistan Travellers Team 5 min read

Malam Jabba is Pakistan's premier ski resort, set on a forested ridge in the Swat Valley at about 2,800 m. In winter it offers skiing and snow play; in summer its green slopes, chairlift, zipline and resort make it a favourite family day out. Easy to combine with Kalam and the wider Swat Valley, it is one of the most accessible mountain-resort experiences in the country. Our tours handle transport, tickets and stays.

Things to do at Malam Jabba

The resort has a chairlift up the forested slope, a long zipline, snow activities and skiing in winter, and green hiking and paragliding in summer. There is a hotel and cafes at the top, and the surrounding pine forest and viewpoints make it scenic year-round — a great mix of adventure and family fun.

How to get to Malam Jabba

Malam Jabba is about 6–7 hours from Islamabad via the Swat Motorway and Mingora, then a winding forest road up to the resort. It pairs naturally with a Kalam or Swat Valley trip. Our packages include comfortable transport with an experienced driver.

Best time to visit

Winter (December–February) is ski season, with snow on the slopes. Summer (May–September) is green and pleasant, ideal for the chairlift, zipline and family visits. Both seasons are popular, so we book resort stays early.

Tour packages

Malam Jabba works as a day trip or as part of a 3–4 day Swat tour with Kalam and Mahodand Lake. Cost depends on season, group size and whether you add activities. Tell us your dates and group for an all-in quote.

  • Expert local guide & 24/7 on-trip support

Not included

  • Lunch & dinner

  • Extra activities (boating, jet ski, chairlifts)
  • Travel insurance & air tickets (unless a by-air package)
BUILT AROUND YOU

Most Malam Jabba trips are fully customised

We rarely sell a fixed, off-the-shelf tour. Instead we build each itinerary around your dates, group size, pace and budget — and confirm hotels based on live availability for your travel window. Your total package cost comes down to just two choices:

1 · Your vehicle

A private 4×4 with a trained mountain driver, sized to your group. For a smooth, comfortable mountain journey we usually recommend the Toyota Prado TZ, though the full range — from sedans to Land Cruisers, Grand Cabins and Coasters — is available depending on your group size.

2 · Your hotel standard

Choose from four tiers — Standard, Executive, Luxury and Premium. Same route, elevated comfort at each step. Premium and 5★ stays such as Shangrila, Broqand other resorts deliver the best locations and views; these raise the total but are worth it for a special trip.
