How to Get to Azad Kashmir
By Air
There are no major commercial flights into Azad Kashmir; most travellers fly to Islamabad and continue by road.
By Road
Muzaffarabad is about 3–4 hours by road from Islamabad. The Neelum Valley extends north from there along the river, while Rawalakot and Banjosa lie to the south.
Local Transport: A car reaches the main towns; a 4x4 is needed for high lakes like Ratti Gali and rougher side roads.
