Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. 1Day 1:Islamabad → Besham

   North out of Islamabad on the Karakoram Highway, through Mansehra and down to Besham where the road meets the Indus. This is the shorter of the two driving days by design — a group that leaves after a working morning still reaches Besham in daylight. The coaster is yours for the whole retreat, so bags and equipment stay aboard. Dinner and overnight in Besham.

2. 2Day 2:Besham → Hunza

   The long half of the journey: north along the Indus through Chilas and Gilgit, then two to three hours up into Hunza. Islamabad to Karimabad is around six hundred kilometres in all, and most of what is left of it happens today. Rakaposhi rises ahead on the final approach. Check in at Karimabad and the evening is deliberately left free.

3. 3Day 3:Sessions & Karimabad

   The working day. The conference room at the hotel is held for the morning session, and the afternoon goes to Baltit Fort above the town — seven hundred years old and worth the climb — then the Karimabad bazaar on the way back down. The evening is the bonfire, which the package includes. Meals, meeting space and transport are all arranged, so nobody is running logistics.

4. 4Day 4:Attabad & Passu

   A full day north into Gojal, upper Hunza. Attabad Lake was formed when a landslide dammed the Hunza River in 2010, and the turquoise water is the picture everyone takes home; boats run from the shore for anyone who wants one. Further up are the Hussaini suspension bridge and the Passu Cones. Back to Karimabad for a closing dinner together.

5. 5Day 5:Return to Islamabad

   The same road in reverse, and honestly the hardest day of the trip — Karimabad back to Islamabad is a long run and we start early. Groups who would rather not do it in one go can break the journey overnight at Chilas or Besham, which most travellers on this route choose; tell us when you book and we build it in. Drop-off at your office or the airport.
